6am Ping Pong

While I have managed to get over my jet lag some time ago, I have not been able to sleep in very late.  So instead of tossing and turning I got up early this morning and joined in a little ping pong fun with the locals.  The temperature had to be at least -10F and at 6:00am 8 of the 12 ping pong tables were occupied.  The people here are incredibly friendly and love to get their pictures taken with Americans.  When they saw me walking into the park I was eagerly invited to play, one of the men even insisted that I wear his knitted gloves which were a lot easier to play in than my bulky snow sculpting gloves.  The little lady in the photo gave me a good run for my money but near the end I discovered that she was actually very good and must have been just toying with me.  Also nearby is an adult exercise park that was very active with dozens of adults at 06:00am.  The Chinese are very active and very friendly people indeed, and obviously a little cold weather doesn't slow them down one little bit.
